Alumni Team – Areas of Opportunity

As you discern each area of opportunity, keep in mind that you may have gifts and talents that span more than one area. It is possible and likely you may be asked to have a primary assignment and serve on a “Team” for another area.
Administration - 1 Lead Coordinator (2-year commitment preferred)
Administrative Team (flexible commitment)
- Help with in-residence set up and take-down: signage, meal whiteboard, binder inserts
- Help with check-in
- Help with Room key coordination
- Write thank you notes
- All done at the in-residence session so out-of-towners are welcome
Feedback Team - Multiple positions available - 2-year commitment
- Provide feedback to 2-4 participants during the in-residence session practicums
- Be available during part of all 4 in-residence sessions (It will vary, but you’d generally need to be present from 10am – 3pm for 3 days of the session)
- All done at the in-residence session so out-of-towners are welcome
Hospitality - 2 coordinator positions (2-year commitment)
- Coordinate Hospitality Team Responsibilities
- Responsible for budget and expense tracking
Hospitality Team (flexible commitment)
- Meet/Greet participants
- Help escort participants/luggage to their rooms
- Happy Hour/Movie Night (set up/tear down)
- Stock snack area with food
- Help with activities/recreation
- All done at the in-residence session so out-of-towners are welcome
Hosting Team (flexible commitment)
- Host Alum Team volunteers for the in-residence week if you're within a 20-minute drive from Savior Pastoral Center
Mentor-In-Session - Multiple positions - 2-year commitment
- Provide spiritual mentoring to approximately 4-6 CSM participants DURING the in-residence sessions
- Provide feedback throughout the 2-year program based on the participants’ practice mentoring sessions outside of the in-residence sessions.
- All done at the in-residence session so out-of-towners are welcome
Music - 1 Lead Coordinator (2-year commitment preferred)
- Assemble Music team
- Work with liturgy lead (Susan), create music schedule and assign duties to Music team
- Work with Tech Team for sound set-up
Music Team (flexible commitment)
- Should have a musical talent, either vocal or instrumental
- Participate in practice sessions
- All done at the in-residence session so out-of-towners are welcome
Prayer - 1 Coordinator (2-year commitment preferred)
- Send out prayer requests to Prayer Team
Prayer Team (flexible commitment)
- Pray for the cohort and all involved
- Not required to be present at the in-residence session
- Invited but not required to attend Monday-night Alum Team Formation
Pre-work Check Team (flexible commitment on your own schedule)
- Reading through the answers to the reflection questions for 5 to 10 participants
- Responding to participants you're assigned with encouraging thoughts and words within 2 weeks of receiving pre-work
- Not required to be present at the in-residence session
Technology - 1 Lead Coordinator (2-year commitment)
- Coordinate tech team responsibilities and schedule
Technology Team (flexible commitment)
- Audio/Visual
- Take turns recording:
- Theories, Meditations, Practicums, Activities that require Tech
- Coordinate with Priest/Deacon leading for tech needs
- Take photos throughout the week of the participants/staff/activities
- All done at the in-residence session so out-of-towners are welcome
Transportation - 1 Lead Coordinator (2-year commitment preferred)
- Recruit Drivers
- Coordinate Airport pickup/drop off schedule
- Coordinate transportation to/from host families if needed
Transportation Team (flexible commitment)
- Provide transportation to participants from/to the airport
- Providing an opportunity for passengers to stop on way to Savior to “shop” for comfort items or food essentials for the retreat week
- May need to help load/unload luggage into vehicle
- Be an ambassador for the participant as their first contact in KC
- May need to provide transportation to participants between the host family home and Savior
